Information on Nursing and Midwifery Council Revalidation Revalidation for Nurses was introduced by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) in April 2016. Revalidation is a new process that all nurses and midwives in the UK will need to follow to maintain their registration with the NMC. Nurses will need to submit an application for revalidation every 3 years. A Nurse's revalidation date can be found on their NMC Online account under ‘renewal expiry’. If a Nurse does not already have an NMC Online account, they will need to register for one, as this is the only place where the NMC will provide them with their revalidation date. All the latest revalidation guidance and documentation can be found on the dedicated revalidation section of the NMC website. NES ePortfolio System NES have made the NMC revalidation forms available on their ePortfolio system. Using ePortfolio for revalidation appears a good way to keep all revalidation documentation online in one place. Information on registering for an ePortfolio account can be found here.
