Details of ongoing NHS mandatory training updates and University training for University Nurses holding NHS honorary contracts Image University Nurses and Midwives holding NHS honorary contracts are required to complete certain essential NHS mandatory training updates on an ongoing basis as part of their honorary contract with NHS Lothian. They are also required to complete the University Unconscious Bias training and provide evidence of Equality & Diversity training. Full details of what training needs to completed (and when) is detailed below. All NHS e-Learning can be accessed through LearnPro. University nurses should use this link (and not the NHS Lothian portal) to access the system. Although the system can be accessed with a University email address, this provides only limited access. To get full access, users must use their NHS email address. If a Nurse does not have an NHS email address, their line manager should request access. The first time the system is used, Nurses will need to request an activation code, and instructions on doing this can be found on the login screen. To book on face-to-face NHS training, University nurses should complete the External Applicant Booking Form and email it to Enquiries.EED@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk with "Honorary Contract – Uni" included in the subject line. In the body of the email a request should be make to be booked onto the training as an extenal delegate in relation to their employment with the University of Edinburgh and holder of an NHS Honorary contract. For further information on NHS training, or for any issues accessing LearnPro or the face-to-face NHS training, please contact Jean Bruce (Clinical Research Nurse Manager) on jean.bruce@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk. For any other queries please email MVM.HR@ed.ac.uk.
